Eaton Execution Delayed

By Sarah Gravlee

BILLINGS - The Wyoming Supreme Court halts the execution of a man convicted of killing a Billings teen.

In 2004, a jury decided Dale Eaton should receive the death penalty for killing 18-year-old Lisa Marie Kimmell. Eaton was to be executed before sunrise on December 19th, but now that date has been pushed back while Eaton attempts to have an appeal heard by the U.S. Supreme Court.

In August, the Wyoming Supreme Court rejected an appeal. Eaton is Wyoming's only death row inmate.

This is ridiculous. He deserves to pay for what he did. This is not justice.
