BILLINGS - We continue our political coverage with a lesser known position, The Yellowstone County Clerk of the District Court. The Clerk is responsible for keeping track of records and documents within the court system.

Incumbent Republican Candidate Laura Brent faces Democrat Challenger Carol Muessig. Both say they've got the experience needed. "I have worked in the office for twenty years. I believe I do a great job and I have wonderful clerks that work really hard we know our job and do it well," says Republican Incumbent Laura Brent.

"I just think I'm the better person to reorganize the office and I can restore the relationships with the judges and bring sound fiscal management back to the office," says Carol Muessig, Democratic Candidate for Clerk of The District Court.

Laura Brent as been the Clerk for five years. Carol Muessig has worked as the office manager of a law firm for over twenty years.
