BILLINGS - Though many residents were without power, it wasn't hard for them to find something fun to do. Well it's not hard to see that we've been hit hard by the snow, you can see damage or fallen trees on most streets. But many say they're celebrating their first major peek at winter.

The first snowstorm of the season has hit, and kids are taking advantage of it. "It's just so much fun to play with, there's always something to do with the snow," says Kyla Wood.

While many adults were shoveling snow and clearing trees, kids of all ages were having fun. It gives us something fun to do because when your inside, all you do is watch T.V. So we come outside and get all cozy," says Marco Piedra.

Fourteen year-old Tawney says her favorite snow past time is snowball fights. "Snowball fights are so much fun because you get to hit each other without getting in trouble for it," says Tawney Palin. One of her opponents, her little brother Tyger, says he'd rather play in it, then with it.

"I like it because you can make snow angels." And for others, they rather play on it. "It's really fun, you get to go on a sled and land on to the snow," says Mitchell Monson.

But no matter how play time is spent, many say, it's more about who it's spent with. "It's a lot of fun though, because you can do stuff like that with your family, we don't normally do this. We're usually pretty skittish, so this is a lot of fun." says Tawney Palin.
