Yellowstone Park Closures

By Stephanie Domurat

BILLINGS - Colder temperatures setting in and Yellowstone National Park prepares for the winter season.

Many campgrounds and lodges have already closed for the season. Most services at Old Faithful and Mammoth Hot Springs stay open through October. Some road closures will begin beginning this month. October 14th, the road between Tower Falls and Canyon will close for the season.

The Beartooth Highway will also close October 14th, from Long Lake to the summit at the Montana Wyoming border. All other interior park roads will close for the season on November 2nd. The road at the park's North entrance to the Northeast entrance in Cooke City will remain open all year long.
