Hunting Rule

By Sarah Gravlee

BILLINGS - Officials with Montana's FWP estimate that a rule governing hunting near Ryegate is the most frequently violated rule in the region. They remind hunters that they need a special permit to hunt mule deer bucks in District 530.

The game warden in Lavina said he frequently sites people for violating this rule. Permits to hunt in this area are free and are available at any license dealer. Each year about 750 permits are given out. There are still about 100 available for this year.
