By KULR Staff & Madelyn Jarrett

BILLINGS - A fatal rollover accident Friday night shut down a portion of I-90 near the Zoo Drive and Shiloh Road Exit. Officials say there was a 2 vehicle crash with one vehicle rolling over.

The first vehicle, a small passenger car carrying 2 people and heading east bound on the interstate, collided with a pick-up truck and rolled. The 2 adults in the passenger car died on scene. The driver of the pick-up truck was transported to St. Vincent Healthcare with unknown injuries.

A Help Flight helicopter and other medical and emergency teams were dispatched to the scene. Officials say it was a high speed impact and the crash could have been avoided.

The county coroner has identified the victims of Friday night's fatal crash as 55-year-old David Hanson and 56-year-old Janice Thomas of Missoula. The driver of the first vehicle has been identified as 25-year old Carey Jay from El Paso, Texas. He's currently listed in fair condition at Saint Vincent Healthcare.
