BILLINGS - A new report shows health care premiums for Montanans have gone up five times faster than their income over the last 8 years. The result? A huge increase in people who can't afford healthcare.

In addition, Montanans who are insured are facing more expenses. Senator Max Baucus addressed the issue Wednesday in a conference call. And says as the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, he will be aggressive in attaining funds for healthcare reform in 2009.

"I do support Universal Healthcare. I think all Americans should have health insurance. We've left 47 million behind, and that's wrong. We all need to share the burden, that means consumers, businesses, everyone. We need to share the burden as we work together," says Senator Max Baucus.

Baucus says Montanans should be pro-active with their own health by using preventative measures to reduce healthcare costs.
