Montana Sex Offenders

BILLINGS - Montana ranks second in the nation for the highest number of sex offenders per capita. Republican Attorney General Candidate Tim Fox says he's making that issue a top priority.

Fox says surveillance and tracking of sex offenders is currently too lax. He says Montanans need a better notification process and photographs of registered sex offenders in their area.

"Montanans need to be vigilant, parents need to be vigilant and I believe they are. We all give the lectures to our kids about not talking to strangers, etc. But as Montanans and as parents, and school officials, we need to be able have that information. And one of my priorities is to make that information more readily available," says Fox.

Fox faces Democrat Steve Bullock in November election.
