Rehberg Sees Red

By Katie Ussin

BILLINGS - Senator John McCain will officially accept the Republican nomination for President of the United States Thursday night in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Congressman Denny Rehberg spoke with reporters Thursday by phone from the convention. Rehberg said he does not believe Montana will go blue this presidential election. He believes Montana will stick to its conservative values. He also said he hopes McCain will be specific when he gives his acceptance speech.

"He can't be as general as Barack Obama was, so I'm hoping that John McCain puts more meat in his speech," said Rehberg. "That he gets specific on what he wants to accomplish, how he plans to accomplish it, and I think the American public expects that as well." The GOP convention wraps up Thursday.

The first presidential debate is tentatively scheduled for September 26th. The VP candidates are scheduled to square off October 2nd.
