First Day at MSU-Billings

By Nick Lough

BILLINGS - The first day of school at MSU-Billings kicked off Wednesday with more than 800 new students trying to find their way around campus.

School officials say enrollment is expected to be about the same as last year, final numbers won't be released for another two weeks. Wednesday, many students took time to find part time jobs at a school sponsored career fair.

Students also learned about new majors available at MSU-B. "Academically we have the first full year at the new college of technology, we've got a first full year of political science major, and a variety of other programs too," said MSU-B's Dan Carter.

This year's "Welcome Week" includes a barbeque, foam dance, and baseball game for all new students.
