Barack Obama's Surprise Visit

BILLINGS - Barack Obama was in Billings Tuesday night, ahead of a townhall meeting he's hosting Wednesday morning. Cameras were rolling Tuesday when he made a surprise visit to a Billings heights home where supporters had gathered to watch the Democratic National Convention. It was supposed to be a small gathering of about 20 people to watch Governor Schweitzer and Hillary Clinton speak in Denver. Instead, it turned into the time of their lives, when presidential candidate Barack Obama knocked on the door. "Come on everybody, let's get comfortable," says Presidential Candidate Barack Obama. People were stunned to see the Illinois Senator Barack Obama walk through the door of this home in the heights. Supporters of all ages, even those who can't vote quite yet, got to meet the Senator. They even took turns sitting next to him as they watched first, Governor Schweitzer and then Hillary Clinton speak in support of Obama. He told the small crowd he's here to show Montanans he's committed to issues that most affect them. "I want to be here to debunk the myths, and so that Montanans know that I will not take their guns away, and that I plan on cutting their taxes more than John McCain is even thinking about. And so, I think there's a lot to fight for in that case," says Presidential Candidate Barack Obama. "We are really excited, the democratic party has been supporting him for a while. People really like his ideas and chances of change for this country. We are ecstatic." says Ray Tracy, with Yellowstone County Democrats. Officials say the drop-in was a spur of the moment decision to visit with local supporters.

As an Independent voter I've followed Mr. Obama for some time now. He presents himself as being in touch with day-to-day living, thus placing himself on the same level as many individuals such as myself. Planned or not, this identification by those who will vote in Nov. is paramount in this election. And Barack Obama may find this to be critical edge he'll need. He has my vote now. I only hope that he will stand without fear as he leads our Country. Underneath it all, I believe Barack is a Man.

I wish the Montanians, would realised that John Mcbush is a thing of the past, and do not represent our future. How can a senator who said he cared so much about people, would vote 99.9% of his to support JORGE BUSH fails economics system that we ended up with 4.5 trillion dollars. Well I can see "the economics is stupid" right now, the Republican could not d anything about it right now, how would they then, do something about it, when Mcbush then would take the office. Please vote Obama.
