BILLINGS - After graduating from middle school less than three months ago, the new freshman class is ready for big things in their first year in high school.

More than 450 students are already enrolled in the freshman class at Billings Senior High School. Tuesday those students took the campus for the first time, trying to learn their way around the school and understand how it works. Only freshman were allowed inside school Tuesday as the rest of the students go back Wednesday. But a teacher says orientation day is also about the staff.

"Teachers in this school love this day. I think they're really proud of the fact that senior high actually does this and we put forth all of our effort into our kids. That's what its all about. Its not us and them it's all of us and its been great to embrace that Wednesday," said english teacher TerraBeth Jochems.

Billings West High School and Skyview High School hold similar orientation days.
