Backstage with Barack

By Sarah Gravlee

BILLINGS - A Fallon woman is one of ten people selected nationwide to meet with Senator Obama before he accepts the nomination.

Barb Sackman entered a contest to go "Backstage with Barack" and said she can't believe she won. She and her husband left billings Tuesday and will meet with the senator on Thursday. Sackman said it's the chance of a lifetime.

"My husband and I have never left our kids before and so this is kind of hard for us, but as I was telling them this is an experience I'll be telling them about for a long time, so that makes it all worthwhile," she said.

Sackman is a teacher. She and her husband also raise wheat and fodder. When she's not busy with either of those activities she volunteers at her church, sits on the hospital board, and organizes community events.
