BILLINGS - All flags should be flown at half-staff Wednesday and Thursday in honor of a Montana Marine killed in Iraq.

Governor Brian Schweitzer issued the proclamation Monday for 25-year-old Marine Corporal Stewart Trejo of Whitefish, who died August 7th in Anbar Province. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in November of 2005 and was based out of Camp Pendleton, California.

Trejo leaves behind his wife Taffie who issued this statement, "He was a great father and a great husband. He loved his country. He was my soul mate and my best friend. He was the coolest person that i have ever had in my life." Trejo was the third Montana soldier to die of injuries suffered in Iraq in a 9-day period this summer.

My little brothers close friend was shot and killed in the Al Anbar Province in oct.of'06. No one ever payed any mind to his death. I have seen several others honored, it's only fair to honor them ALL. He was also based at camp pendelton. He left the morning after graduating. Honor all soldiers, they are our heroes. Semper fi
