The blaze was in the Rehberg Ranch Estates subdivision west of Billings Logan International Airport. Crews from the Billings Fire Department quickly brought it under control, and the evacuation order was lifted about 1:15 p.m. The estimated size of the fire has been reduced to 43 acres. Tom Schultz, a spokesman for Representative Denny Rehberg, says the congressman's parents have a home in the subdivision and were among those who evacuated. Rehberg doesn't own a house in the Rehberg Ranch Estates, but said he was keeping a close eye on the fire.

Meanwhile, a second fire flared up about 10 miles west of the subdivision. Yellowstone County Emergency Services said the second fire was burning on at least 100 acres, and air support has been requested.
