Billings Fireworks Show

By Stephanie Domurat

BILLINGS - The only organized fireworks show in Billings this year will be up in the Heights.

Harvest Church hosts its seventh annual Celebrate Freedom event. The activities and entertainment, including 4 bands, lasts until 9 p.m. Friday night at Castle Rock Park. Volunteers say they look forward to the event every year because it brings people together.

"It's for our community, it's completely free, and we just want to give family's an opportunity to come out and have some fun without spending a lot of money. We have a number of inflatables, games, activities, and face painting," says Tammy Sturdevant with Harvest Church.

The celebration will end with a fireworks display, beginning around 10 p.m. Organizers say the show should last about 25 minutes, and can be seen for miles around.
