BILLINGS - Governor Schweitzer granted nearly $1.4 million dollars to General Electric Wednesday for hiring and training Montana employees.

The governor says this project will create hundreds of good paying jobs and promote economic development. GE's Vice President of Global Operations, Mark Chernauskas, says hard workers are a great plus but these funds play a huge role.

"This incentive definitely stood out for us in making our decision to come to Montana and here in Billings." Since 2006, 21 WTG awards have been given and they have created nearly 2,300 jobs for Montana workers.
