Obama to Visit Billings

By Kathy Weber

BILLINGS - You heard it here first on Wednesday and now we can confirm it: Barack Obama is coming to Billings.

Senator Obama will be here this coming Monday, May 19th. He will be holding a "Town Hall for Working Families" at Billings West High School. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the program will begin at 10:45 a.m. Monday morning. His campaign says the Town Hall Meeting will be a chance for Obama to discuss his agenda for change.

The event will be free and open to the public. However, seating is limited and a ticket is required. Tickets for the event will be available Friday at 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Billings Obama Campaign Office at 222 North Broadway.

Thursday afternoon, Yellowstone County Sheriff's department and the Billings Police Department met with the Secret Service to discuss security needs during Obama's visit. This will be his second visit to Montana, after a tour of Western Montana earlier in the spring.

tickets were not available long enough! I live in Lewistown but only had one day to come to Billings. Can I still get a ticket? Please let me know and I will drive there tomorrow, Saturday if needed to pick it up. Thank you, Bill Buck Shephers@midrivers.com

I know lots of working families who can afford to take time off work to see Barack. Don't you? What a ridiculous time of day, on a Monday of all days, to do this. What his timing shows is a complete lack of respect for real working families by his campaign.
