Crews Learn From Drill

By Arianne Rapkoch

BILLINGS - Wednesday, emergency personnel, airport staff, and Billings hospitals were put to the test during a plane crash simulation exercise.

Thursday, they discussed the outcome, improvements that need to be made, and plans to address those issues. Mike Glancy with Billings Logan Airport says, everyone involved had a positive attitude about the drill. He says there are a few communication issues that need a little work.

Those include sharing information between departments and communication between emergency personnel and families looking for loved ones. Glancy says a video was made of the simulation. It will be reviewed and suggestions will be sent to the local Emergency Planning Committee.
