Truman Dinner Best Ever

By Nick Lough

BILLINGS - Officials are still tallying the final numbers but Yellowstone County Democrats say this year's Truman Dinner was the best financially ever.

Yellowstone County Democratic Chairman Ray Tracy says in years past the event would raise around $5,000 to $10,000 dollars. Tracy says this year's event is expected to bring in around $50,000 dollars.

Officials say the money goes back into the Yellowstone County Central Committee where it's given out to local democratic candidates. The annual Truman Dinner is the group's premiere fundraiser for the year.
