LOCKWOOD - Lockwood Residents can expect an update with their water system soon.

The Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation approved the $1.1 Million dollar loan to help keep the community's facilities up to date. The new water structures are being built as a response to the large power outage in Lockwood a few years ago. During those outages residents had no water for 2 days.

Water officials say the new water project could also become very important when fire season hits.
