Women Run for a Cause

By Stephanie Domurat

BILLINGS - A little friendly competition did a lot of good in downtown Billings Saturday morning.

More than 6,400 people of all ages showed up for the 22nd Annual Montana's Women's Run. Participants could run or walk the 2 or 5 mile races. The event brought women, men, kids, and even pets together to promote women's health and fitness. The fastest five finalists in each age group received a prize, but most say they're not in it for the rewards.

"I think its just been a big bonding experience, women don't really need another thing to bond about but it brings us together and its gives us time to sit around and talk a bit" says participant Chris Hissom. "I think that's awesome, there’s so many of us, I mean even guys, its really encouraging" says Kris Nagel.

All money raised will go to Women’s Health Services in Billings.
