BILLINGS - A USA Today report says nationally casinos aren't doing so hot. But here in Billings the gambling industry isn't slowing across the board. Places like Las Vegas have seen a substantial drop in gambling revenue lately. Many say it's due to the slumping economy. But here in Billings, multiple casinos say their numbers are just fine, a few even report record months. Casino employees say it's probably because many of their guests are regulars as opposed to destination spots like Vegas where you have to travel to get there. Becky Farber works in Bugz's Casino in the Heights, she says, "Other business is dropping off, I still have my regulars that come in. They may not spend as much but they come in here on a regular basis." Becky Armstrong works in the bar of Bugz's she says she hasn't seem any slowing of her customers, "We just have regulars that come in. Maybe they're staying close to home instead of traveling. I just think they still like to have their beer."
