State Democratic Candidates Debate

BILLINGS - Democratic candidates for Montana State Attorney General and Superintendent of Public Instruction debated in a very friendly manner Friday evening. The three democratic AG candidates and four SPI candidates were at st MSUB Petro Theater for a debate. The three democrats running for attorney general are Steve Bullock, John Parker and Mike Wheat. They fielded questions ranging from the Second Amendment, to the Patriot Act, to keeping Montana children safe; they agreed on many points. The four running for SPI are Sam Kitzenberg, Claudette Morton, Holly Raser and Denise Juneau. "Right now we're focusing on the presidential race and maybe Tier A races but Tier B races need to be focused on too. And we happen to have a particular race where we have a lot of candidates running and people need to know the differences." says Ray Tracy with the Yellowstone County Democrats. Montana's primary is June third. The republican candidates for Attorney General are Lee Bruner and Tim Fox. Republicans running for Superintendent of Public Instruction, Elaine Sollie Herman and Libertarian Donald Eissenmenger.
