Democratic Races

By Stephanie Domurat

BILLINGS - The big question is, will Hillary Clinton still be in the race when the Montana primary comes June 3rd. Right now, Montana campaign offices for both candidates are going full steam ahead.

The competition between Obama and Clinton is getting tight, as volunteers in Billings prepare for the upcoming Primary on June 3rd. Obama headquarters make daily phone calls, and canvas every weekend throughout Billings.

The Clinton headquarters have only been open a week and are just beginning to spread the word about their candidate. With the tight race, both sides say every Montanan's vote counts, and the state's three electoral votes are worth fighting for. "People are excited about Barack Obama and his message of change and really bringing people back in the process, their voice matters, their opinion matters, what they need matters." says Lauren Dula.

"Senator Clinton is appealing to the working people, to the Union, and to Seniors. She's coming in strong, and we're excited. Theres a lot of hope in this race here." says Bill Kennedy, Yellowstone County Commissioner.

Many political experts speculate that Clinton losses in next week's primaries in Kentucky and Oregon will force her out. But, Senator Clinton continues to say she's in it until the end.
