Think First

By Nick Lough

BILLINGS - Students at Will James Middle School are trying to break down the stereotypes of people with disabilities.

For the past two days students took part in the "Think First" program. The effort is sponsored by Saint Vincent Healthcare and Billings Clinic officials. Students learn how to resolve conflicts and interact with disabled people as well as how to avoid injuries.

"We just want kids in the Billings area to know it's so much better to prevent injuries and protect yourself from injuries as opposed to living after an injury," said Saint Vincent Healthcare's Lori Marosok.

The "Think First" program is also taught in several Billings elementary schools throughout the year.
