Robbery Suspect Charged

By Nick Lough

BILLINGS - Billings Police say they've positively identified the masked man who robbed a local bank last Friday.

Investigators say 49-year-old James Canda is charged with felony robbery. Police say Canda walked into the Valley Federal Credit Union on North Broadway last Friday, opened a cash register and ran out with a bag of money.

Witnesses say Canda got into a red car and fled the scene. Officers say they spotted the car a block away from the robbery, stopped the vehicle and made the arrest.
