Worden Fire Chief Lance Taylor says it would only take one big fire to wipe out most of his budget and with this year's fire season expected to last until October, it's already a huge concern. Taylor says a big problem has been the number of prescribed burns that have gotten out of control. He says the county may need to take action soon.

"What you're going to have to see is Yellowstone County Commissioners are going to have to have a meeting. We need to be talking seriously here within the next week or so if we don't get any moisture about a burn ban," said Taylor.

Yellowstone County Commissioner Bill Kennedy the commission is always open to request from fire chiefs about the possibility of a burn ban.
