Buffalo Creek Fire

By Madelyn Jarrett

BILLINGS - The weather Sunday no doubt helped firefighters finish putting out the Buffalo Creek Fire.

As of Saturday officials said the 800-acre fire north of Laurel was only about 10% contained. Sunday Yellowstone County officials say the fire is completely out. It was a control burn that got out of control Friday morning, threatening many houses and structures.

Evacuations were lifted late Friday night, no homes or structure were touched.
