Obama Office in Billings

By Madelyn Jarrett

BILLINGS - The Barack Obama campaign here in Montana opens up their Billings office Saturday. By noon supporters of all ages were still pouring in. Campaigners were handing out Obama information and looking to sign up more volunteers. "Yes We Can" and "Change we can Believe in" signs adorned the walls at the old Golden Pheasant bar on North Broadway downtown. Volunteers say they take time out of their lives to support the campaign because they believe in it. "It's a grass roots organization. So I think by having us here his population, the people are going to start to turn towards Obama." says Ana Diaz, a volunteer. The office is one of 5 across Montana. They also opened offices in Helena, Missoula, Great Falls and Bozeman Saturday. Senator Hillary Clinton's campaign hasn't announced yet if they plan to open offices in Montana.
