BUTTE - Two of Montana's eight super delegates have announced support for Barack Obama. The remaining six have stayed neutral vowing only to reveal their picks after Montana's June 3rd primary.

But the super delegates we spoke with say they were hanging on every word of each speech in Butte Saturday night. They also say they've been under pressure to announce endorsements. "I'll be listening to what they have to say. We'll be paying attention all the way to June and beyond and then maybe we'll be ready to announce our endorsement," Sen. Jon Tester said.

"I'd like them to answer this question, President Bush's energy policy brought us $4 a gallon gas prices and a dependence on foreign dictators for oil. I want to know what their energy plan is," said Gov. Brian Schweitzer.

Dennis McDonald of the Montana Democratic Party said, "Former president bill Clinton offered to shine my shoes and wash my windshield. Obviously he was kidding but that's the kind of pressure we've felt."

The latest count by the Associated Press shows Barack Obama with just over 1,600 delegates. Clinton has close to 1,500. Montana has a total of 17 delegates, which will be awarded based on the outcome of the June 3rd primary. The remaining eight are party leaders who can vote based on their own conscience.
