BILLINGS - It was a beautiful, sunny day on the slopes at Red Lodge Mountain Resort Sunday. A gorgeous last day for skiers says General Manager Rob Ringer. Lifts were shut down at 4 p.m. Sunday for the season.

Ringer says it has been a challenging season. They saw less snow and suffered lift breakdowns. The mountain was open less days this year than last year.

All this allows room for improvement. This summer they plan to spend time improving lifts and snow-making operations. Ringer says they will still hold the Mountain Biking Race in August.
