Forever Stamps

By Nick Lough

BILLINGS - The public is feeling the pain at the gas pump and at the grocery store but prepare for it now at the post office.

On May 12th, the cost of first class stamps increases from 41 cents to 42 cents. Postal Officials say the solution is forever stamps. They last forever no matter how much postage is. Forever Stamps are currently 41 cents at the post office.

In May Forever Stamps will also rise in price, but Postal Officials say if you buy them now you can save yourself some money. "You can buy as many as you want right now the 41 cents you're still saving a penny on your stamps," said the United States Postal Service's Timmye Crowley

USPS officials say since April of 2006 they've sold more than 5 billion Forever Stamps.
