BILLINGS - Officials with the Food and Drug Administration said cantaloupes believed to be tainted with salmonella may have made their way to Montana.

The cantaloupes in question are sold under the name Charlie's Produce Brand and they are cut cantaloupe. FDA officials said the fruit originated in Honduras, then was shipped to many states including Montana.

Officials said at least 50 people in 16 states became sick from the fruit, so far no one has died. FDA officials are now asking people to throw away any cantaloupes that came from Honduras.
