This week zoo pre-schoolers made easter egg pinata's for the animals. Zookeepers filled them with food or rubbed them with animal scent. The animals ripped them open to get the food inside or rubbed against them to mark their territory. Zoo officials say, enrichments like this get the animals on their feet.

Jenny Moellendorf with ZooMontana says, "Enrichments are good because it gets the animals in more of a real life setting. Instead of food just given to them, they actually have to work for their food. It's a little harder for them, so they get some exercise." ZooMontana holds enrichments for the animals every weekend. It's a good time to see them up-close and active.
