Child Safety Fair

By Arianne Rapkoch

BILLINGS - After being cooped up all winter, warm weather makes kids want to get outside.

Officials with Saint Vincent Healthcare say there are some safety concerns that both kids and parents should keep in mind. They held their Annual Child Safety Fair Saturday to inform people about some potential dangers. The biggest emphasis was on bike safety. Medical personnel say parents should teach kids to always wear a bike helmet, watch for cars, and pay attention to road signs. Officials say young children should stay on the sidewalk.

Medical professionals say they see an increase in broken bones and head injuries during the warm months.
