By Nick Lough

RED LODGE - Great news for skiing and snowboarding fans Red Lodge Mountain opens Saturday. Officials at Red Lodge say the doors will open at 11 a.m. Saturday morning for the annual season pass holder VIP party.
They say snowmakers have been working around the clock to prepare for opening day. The mountain will open the season with discounted lift tickets priced at $28 for adults and juniors and $12 dollars for children.
Big Sky resort has already opened for the season. Skiers and snowboarders hit the slopes last weekend. Thirty-eight runs are open on the mountain. Officials say conditions continue to be great for making snow.
Bridger Bowl is not planning on opening until December, 8th. The mountains website says they do have snow, but obstacles are still buried under very light and dry snow. The website also says back country conditions will exist prior to opening day but no ski patrol services will be available.
