BILLINGS - For many winning an Olympic gold medal may seem like an unattainable dream, but one Billings athlete never let that doubt stop her.
Michelle Hardy has been competing for about 28 years. A few weeks ago, Michelle put her talents to the test at the Special Olympics. While she was in Shanghai, she struck gold. Her team got first in the 400 meter relay. She says she kept telling herself she was going to win and ultimately, it payed off.
While winning a gold medal is an experience of a lifetime, Michelle says the best memories are the people she met and the different culture she got to experience. She says if she gets chosen again, she'll definitely be heading to the world games in Athens in four years.
