BILLINGS - Some truck drivers may soon find their rigs do not meet the weight requirements necessary to go on some of Yellowstone County's country roads.
County commissioners convened Tuesday to talk about a change to the current road restrictions, which limit truck traffic on several roads to rigs that are less than 16,000 pounds.
Commissioners made an addition to the ordinance clearly defining which vehicles qualify as trucks. That information will be shared at a pair of public hearings in November.
The decision to limit truck activity is a result of concerns about the deterioration of country roads caused by heavy truck traffic.
