BILLINGS - If you want to sell your home, experts say a little "elbow grease" can make your home stand above the crowd.

Brad Lindeman with Home Depot said homeowners can easily spruce up an old house with a fresh coat of paint, some new light fixtures, and a little landscaping. He also said laminate flooring is easy to install and can increase the value of your home.

Lindeman said with the right help, anyone can save money by doing projects themselves.

"Every project in your house, well almost every project is very easy to do by yourself, just people don't always realize it's that easy to do," he said. "When you come in, it's easy to realize it's do-able yourselves."

If you're up for a little more of a challenge, experts say updated kitchens and bathrooms can really increase the value of a home.
