COOKE CITY - Four grizzly bears believed involved in the fatal mauling of a Michigan man at a campground near Yellowstone National Park are being trucked to a state wildlife lab in Bozeman.

A sow and two of her three cubs had been trapped by Thursday while the final year-old cub was found in a culvert trap early Friday. The bears left the Soda Butte campground in a three-truck convoy
Friday morning.

Montana wildlife officials are awaiting DNA tests to confirm their suspicions that the bears were responsible for the attack. Officials said they would decide the bears' fate only after seeing the results of DNA tests that are expected Friday.

Two other people were injured in the attack. One has been released from a hospital. The other is scheduled to undergo surgery Friday.

You have a bear who just taught her young that its ok to kill people. All you animal rights freaks think they should be left alone to live in a world of peace and happiness filled with rainbows and sunshine. Get real.

I agree completely. We invading their space. I spent time on an African safari and was always aware of the dangers. They are animals and they act as animals do in the wild. Our society won't kill a human cold-blooded, murderer who kills without provocation for his own sick satisfaction. People, stand up and be heard on this! What purpose does it serve to take that mother from her young?

This was the bears' home!!! When man enters it, it should be with the understanding that he is invading their territory. That mother bear has e very right to protect her home and family. I will be very upset and sad if these four bears are killed. I am not unsympathetic towards the man's family and I have a feeling from what I have read about him that he would not want them killed either. How can we SAVE these BEARS that have every right to LIVE?!!!
