BILLINGS - Hundreds of classic cars will take over downtown Billings Friday night for the annual Burn the Point parade. The 2010 show is the ninth year of the charity event, and will be raising money for Chase Hawks Memorial Association.

Six hundred cars are expected to be in the parade and nearly 400 in the car show Saturday. More than 18,000 people attended Burn the Point in 2009.

The event fees go to help parents pay the medical bills for their sick children, through the Chase Hawks crisis fund.
"It's just a great night and we just look forward to this as a big thing for Billings," organizer Ronn Duty said, "I really believe it's the largest parade and car show in the state of Montana."

The parade of classic cars is Friday night at 7:00, and starts downtown on 27th Avenue by the courthouse.

The car show starts at 10:00 Saturday morning at Metrapark and goes until 3 pm. The admission fee is $2, but free for veterans.

There will also be drag racing Saturday night at the Acton drag-strip. The action kicks off at 4 pm.
