APF Legal Issues

BILLINGS - There are more legal issues facing the leader of American Police Force.

A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered Michael Hilton to appear October 29th over an outstanding judgment in a fraud lawsuit. Court documents claim Hilton scammed investors to give $1.1 million dollars towards an assisted living complex in California, the project that was never built.

Co-defendant Dr. Joseph Carella says he was also taken advantage of by Hilton. "My blood pressure goes sky high, I can't eat, I get depressed all over again, and I've tried to block him out of my mind. He's the biggest crook and charlatan I have ever met in my life," said Carella.

On Sunday, the name on APF's website switched to American Private Police Force and its logo was changed.

HardinGal; Change is good only if it benefits you. In this case it is hard to see any benefit other than money or potential money for Hardin. The way this story is going I could not see any good coming from this so called Private Police Force other than a rdical militia. Hardin is already getting national bad press because they are still entertaining this foolish project.

Are you people stupid in Hardin? This guy has comminted Fraud, Grand Theft and othe crimes. How could the Board in Hardin ever concider Continuing this Contract with a scam artist. I have seen stupid, but this takes first place.

Hardin is also 1 of 3 towns looking to host the 1st U.S. "Horse" slaughter plant. The project needs investors. Maybe they can build the slaughterhouse next to the prison. Um, wait a minute...

Maybe it was just a scam, maybe it was a test to see the reaction of Montanans when a rogue entity strolls into town wearing a police uniform driving city police cars and the local authority says "No big deal" What if everyone in town acted just like the main street business owners and were only looking at the dollar signs? Who can say what might have been? Great Job to the vigilant Hardin Nobody's.

HARDIN NEEDS THIS!!! This is the best news since the coal mines opened up years ago great jobs pay retirement etc. WE need change in this town and if we can get that by the APPF then bring it on. The problem is for the first time we may have a chance for success why cut it down. The problem is most of the people in this town are afraid of change. Shelby had change and they are successful. WAKE UP HARDIN! CHANGE MAY BE GOOD we need this. STOP THE NEGATIVE ATTITUDE ! And the bad publicity.

I wonder if the story is over yet. Was the government instrumental in the initial funding of the prison? and...If the American Police Force (American Private Police Force) is not indeed associated with the US government, why isn't the FBI swooping on them?

Isn’t it time this story come to an end, isn’t it time good judgement prevails, isn’t it about time that people with good sense step to the fore and end this? What about all of these stupid local players, including Al Peterson, Becky Shay, Kelli Smith, the entire Two Rivers Board and the Hardin City Council, Hardin Mayor Ron Adams? They all need to be sent away on a rail NOW! Why do they continue still to seek others to look at a bogus contract with a fraud?
