"I'm a chemist by trade, so I deal mostly in facts," he said. "I can take facts in both sides, assimilate information and come to a logical conclusion based on information that we're given. I try to eliminate the emotional side."

Mayoral candidates run without party affiliation. Voters will choose between five candidates in a primary held September 15th. The two candidates with the most votes will face-off in the general election held November 3rd.
