BILLINGS - The end of this years MontanaFair will mean the beginning of life in a new home for one Billings family.

Habitat for Humanity partnered with Thrivent Financial and hundreds of volunteers to build a home at this years fair. The progress of the 9-day project will be on display on the fair grounds all week.

Once the home is two-thirds complete volunteers will move it to its South Billings location where the interior portion will be completed.

"I think it adds to the fair and it empowers people to think, 'I could do that'. And since we work year round and we need volunteers to build our homes, this will hopefully get people more interested in that," says Debra Dusenbury, Volunteer Coordinator with Habitat For Humanity.

More than 300 volunteers will take turns working 3-hour shifts all week. You can see the action from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. each day. This is the third home that's been built at the fair.

Wow !! I;m impressed.It has taken me months just to find someone to finish cabinets in my kitchen and install shirting around my small moble home. Keep up the good work.C.M.B.
