RED LODGE - Now that the high profile trial of former Carbon County Attorney Bob Eddelman is over, the county commissioners say they hope everyone can start putting this behind them.

Back in March, when Eddelman pleaded guilty to federal drug charges, commissioners appointed a new county attorney. County Commissioner John Prinkki says that's when they put the whole controversy behind them.

"It caught us off guard in December when we heard about it and it took awhile for the county to get up to speed and be able to handle the work load. We're glad this is probably behind everybody for now," said Prinkki.

When asked if he thought Eddelman's sentence was fair, Prinkki said he has faith in the justice system. Alex Nixon took over the post of Carbon County Attorney back in March.
