Shepherd Teacher Reacts to Loss of Soldier

SHEPHERD - Shepherd, Montana Sergeant Terry Lynch was killed Monday in Afghanistan supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. Word spread quickly around the small town of Shepherd Tuesday of Sergeant Lynch's death.

Colleen Myhre teaches algebra at Shepherd High School. Myhre says she taught Lynch when he was just a freshman. She remembers him as a boy with a lot of spirit.

"He was a real rambunctious, vivacious young kid. The students and staff really liked him, he was a favorite," said Myhre. Myhre also says she sends deep sympathies to Lynch's family.
