BILLINGS - A Hardin gift shop shows off some valuable items once worn by General Custer and his troops.

Fort Custer General Store owner Charlene Warren's family discovered artifacts from land the family has owned for years. Warren's business is currently showcasing dozens of items such as a gun and knife owned by Custer.

"Once this is gone, it's gone. There's only so much of it there. A lot of buttons and history and it's the different kinds of things that were found up there is what's unique," said Warren.

On Thursday, one of Warren's friends discovered a few pieces of pottery on the land. Warren says most of the items were found with a metal detector.
