Local Stores Encouraged by Cabela's

BILLINGS - Employees at a local outdoor store that's says they're not scared of Cabela's coming to town and taking away business.

The Base Camp officials say Cabela's moving to Billings means more people visiting the area to purchase outdoor equipment. Employees hope that means more customers coming to their store looking for things Cabela's doesn't have.

"I've worked for The Base Camp, and Scott, since 1984 as a buyer for the store. We've seen lots of competition over the years and it just makes us better at what we do," said The Base Camp's Dianne Morgan.

The Base Camp employees say they'll still have their regular customers come in and will still be the experts on local weather conditions and updates.
