Bull Mountain Fire

BILLINGS - Firefighters are busy battling a wildfire burning in the Bull Mountains south of Roundup.

Fire officials say the blaze is about 30-to-50 acres and is burning out of control in extremely rough terrain 10 miles east of Bull Mountain Ranch and about two miles west of Highway 87.

Fire crews from Shepherd, Roundup, Bull Mountain and the BLM are on scene. The blaze is not threatening any structures or the Bull Mountain Mine, but officials say strong winds are fanning the flames. Musselshell County officials believe it was started by lightning Thursday night.
